Animal Health

This course introduces the student to the common diseases of livestock, their investigation treatment, and control.

Course Objective
To enable a student to acquire knowledge about common livestock diseases and skills in disease investigation, treatment, and control.

Learning Out Comes
At the end of this course, the student should be able to:

1. Identify common livestock diseases
2. Identify the factors that predispose animals to diseases
3. Be conversant with signs of good health and clinical signs of diseases; know general aspects of disease investigation
4. Manage common diseases and advise on control measures.
